Behringer X AIR XR18 18-Channel, 12-Bus Digital Mixer for iPad/Android Tablets with 16 Programmable MIDAS Preamps, Integrated Wifi Module and Multi-Channel USB Audio Interface The BEHRINGER X32 completely changed the game by rethinking what is possible from a digital mixer. And that same technology is now available in a small, but powerful, rack-mountable digital mixer that will forever change the way you present your message and live music, the X AIR XR18. Revolutionary and sublimely easy to use, the XR18 is an ultra-affordable 18 input/12 bus portable mixer in a stage-box form factor designed for iPad and Android tablets.
It is ideally suited for house of worship applications, thanks to the 16 award-winning MIDAS mic preamps, onboard digital effects processing, integrated Wifi module for wireless remote control, and lightning-fast, bidirectional USB Audio Interface for pristine recordings. XR18’s remote control capability allows the sound engineer to move about the room and experience what the audience is hearing from multiple vantage points. Plus, live monitor wedges can be adjusted directly from the artist’s perspective, or better yet, let them mix their own in-ear and floor monitors using their own tablets. Free downloadable apps for iOS, Android, PC/Mac and Linux based PCs and tablets are available at behringer.com.
When it comes to recording, XR18’s 18 x 18 channel USB interface is ideal for tracking directly to an iPad or PC. The XR18 makes it easy to record sermons and worship team music with exceptional sonic clarity for archival purposes or church outreach programs. Each XR18 input channel features a Low-Cut function, 4-band fully parametric EQ, and the same Gate and Compressor dynamics suite found in the X32. In Expert mode, the engineer can manually adjust every nuance of the dynamics; or, if you depend on volunteers to run sound, Simple mode allows them select from 4 artfully optimized presets. Equipped with the same FX engines as the now legendary X32 Digital Mixing Console, the onboard virtual FX Rack provides access to 4 true-stereo (8 mono), multi-effects processors including delay, chorus, dynamics, plus the XR18 can run production-quality, true-stereo reverbs simultaneously with 31-band EQ on the Main and Aux buses, all without the need for any additional hardware (which saves you money). Custom-designed, and physically modeled after some of the most iconic and sought-after analog and digital effects processors, all run inside the incredibly stable X18 mix engine, ensuring flawless performance, flexible routing and the end of cable faults forever.
The XR18 includes a high-resolution, 100-band Real Time Analyzer (RTA) that displays the audio energy distribution in 100 frequency bands over time, capturing a full 10-second image of the sonic spectrum. The RTA can even be displayed on top of the 31-band graphic EQs in the Main L/R or Aux buses, making monitoring and controlling critical frequencies a breeze! Signal distribution is handled via XR18’s ULTRANET connectivity, which can send 16 discrete signals to BEHRINGER P16-D Digital ULTRANET Distributors, or directly to P16-M Personal Monitor Mixers.
This amazing technology lets each member of the worship team to create their own monitor mix, and frees the sound engineer to focus on other tasks. ULTRANET also provides the perfect way to send the main mix to the new TURBOSOUND iQ Series active loudspeakers, all using lightweight, inexpensive and easy-to-deploy Cat 5 cabling. Designed specifically with house of worship applications in mind, the highly versatile and ultra-affordable XR18 Digital Mixer, combines more features into a compact, portable form factor than anything in its class.
