Though Kirk Crossing owned 80 acres of land, it was holding its services for about 100 regular attendees inside nearby Jenks Intermedia School. In 2010, the church leadership decided it was time to put its land to use and build a new home for the church.

The land the church owned was zoned commercially with highway frontage. Working with Churches By Daniels Construction Inc., it was determined that the church could be built on the west side of the property, away from the highway, and the commercially-zoned land could be put up for sale. An access road was built to reach the backside of the property and construction begain.

The 35,000-square-foot Kirk Crossing building features a 500-seat worship space. It is fitted with state-of-the-art sound and acoustics technology. Bass traps are hung on the walls, carpet was chosen over concrete — these choices result in absorbed sound and enhanced music.

An all-glass front reveals an indoor playscape, which can be seen from the highway at night. Eight-foot doors lead into the spacious, two-story, light-filled lobby. To the left is the play area and entrance to Kirk Kids. A café is in the center of the space. A welcome desk and entry to the worship area are to the right.

When you walk into the space, you are in the center of everything. The pushed-in contemporary design is versatile. This space will hold 500 standing people without feeling crowded. It can also be filled with tables and set up for events. Kirk Crossing promotes outside groups and a community focus.
