The Worship Facilities Solomon Awards recognizes churches and their partners for excellence in facilities design, building expansion or remodeling, operation excellence, innovative use, and technical production.

Bryan Bailey - Technical Direction First Baptist Church Dallas
Bryan Bailey serves as the director of media and production at First Baptist Church of Dallas. Not only is Bryan skilled in the technical arts, but he is also a great builder of people. He has developed a training program and internship program that product technically adept volunteers and connects them as family.
Elevation Church - Lake Norman Campus
The construction of Elevation Church Lake Norman, marked the largest church construction project in Cornelius, NC. This 41,600-square-foot, $5 million renovation project transformed a former cineplex, into a state-of-the-art worship center. The vibrant and colorful design re-energizes this previously underutilized facility, transforming it into a community space that will engage the community.
First United Methodist Church McKinney - Student Ministry Building
Located in the historic downtown district of McKinney, Texas this church seeks to create a new Student Ministry building to better reach a younger generation and serve their community. The challenge became developing a modern design for students that connects with the heritage and architectural styling of a 150-plus-year-old church.
Church of the King- New Campus
The collaborative dynamic between builder and church enabled a foundation of trust that ultimately led to the successful completion of the project.
Appleton Alliance Church - Expansion
In 2013 Progressive AE celebrated with Appleton Alliance Church and Boldt Construction the major expansion and renovation of its existing ministry campus. The project was 120,000 square feet, with a total project cost of $24 million including renovations, facility expansion and site development. A highlight of the expansion is how the central cafe and Hub links the new 1,800-seat main worship venue to all other ministry spaces.
Midland Bible Church - Campus Relocation
Midland Bible Church’s vision and values of “a family of faith lived out in the world,” were captured in subtle yet powerful ways in its new campus designed by the Beck Group. Through simple forms, natural materials, light, transparency and creative functionality the design enhances and communicates the church’s identity.
North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship - Campus Relocation
Family-focused North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship Church turned to HH Architects to establish a multi-phased approach for designing and building its campus. The first phase was focused on the needs of their families and community, with a dynamic family ministry space and a multi-purpose worship venue and gathering space.
Elevation Church - Lake Norman Campus
Elevation Church and LS3P took on an adaptive reuse project that transformed a derelict movie theater into a thriving worship center. A state-of-the-art auditorium accommodates 1,200 worshippers and offers an expansive new performance venue to the community.
Chase Oaks Church - Auditorium Expansion and Renovation
MEDCO Construction added 14,000 square feet to the existing Plano, Texas-based Chase Oaks Church building (Phase 1) and renovated the existing auditorium (Phase 2) for a total addition of 31,158 square feet. Both phases included the addition of stadium-style seating that increased capacity from 1,100 to 1,800 guests. Friday night and Sunday services continued throughout the 18-month schedule.
Christ Lutheran Church - Construction
With membership numbers on the steady rise, Christ Lutheran Church turned to Edifice Inc. General Contractors to build a sanctuary and youth facility to provide flexibility to its ministries. The state-of-the-art sanctuary is inviting and spacious, creating an immediate sense of awe. A project of this magnitude rarely presents itself without challenges. Despite site complications and strict schedule, Edifice successfully completed this project on time and within budget.
Lakeside Christian Church - Hebron Campus - Repurposed Facility
When the local Hebron, Ks. grocery store decided to close its doors, Lakeside seized the opportunity for its first multi-site campus. T&W Church Solutions transformed the 37,155-square-foot grocery into a phenomenal 600-seat worship facility with a great children’s area and cafe area.
Free Chapel - Audio and Video Design and Implementation
Free Chapel turned to Moyers Group to replace an aging SD video system with a modern nine-camera, high-definition broadcast video system, 3mm LED video walls and other interconnected sub-systems for worldwide broadcast. The results have given the church the tools to facilitate their next season of ministry.
Worship Technology Project Black Rock Congregational Church
Like many churches facing growth, Black Rock Congregational was tasked with having to deliver both traditional and contemporary services in the same facility. The blending of a tradition-rooted church with innovative new technology will now serve the church for another 160 years.
Cape Cod Church - New Church Building
Opening in April 2014, the new Cape Cod Church in Falmouth, Mass. has seen weekly attendance grow to 1,000, which is 75 percent increase over previous attendance. Over half the new regulars say they never or infrequently attended a church previously.
Saint Mark Baptist Church - Sanctuary Remodel
In five months, Saint Mark Baptist Church Facilities Director Jason Ray orchestrated two major renovation projects. The first project was a full HD upgrade and renovation to the midtown Little Rock, Ark. church’s media suite. The second was a full renovation of the sanctuary stage and lighting.
North Madison Christian Church - Audio and Video Design and Implementation
North Madison Christian Church describes itself as a different type of church. This “difference” was exemplified when the church chose to unveil its new worship center on Father’s Day. They didn’t open doors on they more-typical Christmas or Easter Sunday. Rather, they decided the best way to celebrate dads was with new technology and toys at which to marvel.
Sermon in a Flash (Oak Hills Church)
Oak Hills Church’s “Sermon in a Flash” provides immediate access to a digital copy of the weekend message immediately following a worship gathering. The sermon is available for download to a USB in both video and audio formats.
River Pointe Church - Student Building - Richmond Campus
River Pointe Church’s 17,000-square-foot Student Building in Richmond, Texas breaks the mold of traditional education and worship facilities. The space is available to young adults for recreational development and to socialize while building their faith and fellowship in comfortable home-like environment.
